Any student is invited to attend an upcoming event on June 3 in Victoria, BC entitled “Researching the role of co-ops in community development.” This free student event is co-hosted by the Canadian Association for Studies in Co-operation, the Measuring the Co-operative Difference Research Network and the Canadian Co-operative Research Network.
This event is intended for students at any level of post-secondary studies who are interested in community development (local or international) and/or co-operatives. Because the Congress of Social Sciences and Humanities is meeting in Victoria that week, we thought it would be a great opportunity for students from various associations with a converging interest in community development to meet together and learn together. Agenda and details available here.Agenda and further details here.
The event is intended to be a learning event with some of Canada’s top co-operative researchers as well as international guest Dr. Mirta Vuotta from the University of Buenos Aires. The event will focus on research, research methodologies and proposal writing (you can also workshop your thesis or research proposal if you wish). Find more details attached. Some travel funding is available. If you are interested, please register by April 19: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/MDVBK98.
