Committee on co-operative research launches new website

The Alliance’s Committee on Co-operative Research (CCR) has launched a new website aimed at keeping researchers, practitioners and the broader public up to date on what is happening in co-operative research around the world.

The CCR — chaired by Dr. Sonja Novkovic of Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada — is one of five thematic committees/networks within the Alliance. It aims to raise awareness of co-operative research and serves as a bridge between academic research and the co-operative world.

“We hope both academics and practitioners will use this site to learn about the outstanding research on co-operatives that is taking place, find out about research-related events, and get in touch with the people and organizations involved in co-operative research,” Dr. Novkovic said.

The new website includes co-operative research news and events, links to co-operative research centres and organizations, educational institutions, publications and co-operative apex organizations involved in research. It also includes profiles of researchers and research projects and a special section of interest to young co-operative scholars.

The CCR site, which can also be accessed from the Alliance website, was launched at the Global Research Conference in Pula, Croatia, which was held June 25-28.
For more information, and to suggest news items, profiles or links that may be added to the website, contact Sonja Novkovic at s.novkovic@smu.ca or Hanan El-Youssef at elyoussef@ica.coop.
