Volunteers are a vital part of the Canadian Co-operative Association’s International Development programming.  You will be intrigued to know that there is real impact here at home as well.  In 2013 CCA commissioned a report that looked at the significance of Canadian Co-operators’ international volunteering with our partners.  Christa McMillin and Nancy Ingram from Foot in the Door Consulting looked at personal, professional and community impacts of volunteering with CCA internationally, and found very interesting results.  This is a webinar of interest to all past or future volunteers, donors to the Co-operative Development Foundation and anyone who wants to understand how aligning with CCA programming has the potential to increase employee skills as well as engagement and retention.

February 12 (10:30 am EST)- Landscape of the Charitable and Non-profit Sector in Canada

The Canadian Co-operative Association hosts this webinar with Stephen Faul of Imagine Canada. Stephen will talk about the size, scope and breadth of the charitable and nonprofit sector in Canada including some recent Imagine Canada research on Canadian attitudes toward charities (including international development organizations).  Of particular interest, Stephen will talk about recent work on developing a new public narrative about the sector.
